Having trouble writing about myself and my services (self.freelance)

Hi, I'm trying to revamp my website and am seemingly having the hardest time ever writing about myself and the services I offer. I'm trying not to come off as cliche and not to use catch-phrases.

Where do you guys usually start when writing copy to promote your work?

I just start writing, then remove/combine/rewrite unnecessary sentences and keep refining, and aim for the most simple and plainest English as much as possible. I still struggle though.

Thanks. I'm going to have to give that a shot. I always struggle when writing about myself.
